What to expect

  • Before you arrive make sure you have the correct time and date – Obvious but it has happened a few times.

  • Hydrate before (and after) your massage, it helps flush out and release those toxins.

  • Wear loose clothing – easier and quicker for you to undress and dress. You will not want to mess around with restrictive clothing after your massage.

  • Please arrive on time and bring some water with you or have it to hand in the car after for your journey home.

  • On your first visit you will be asked to fill out a consultation form. We will chat through it and discuss your massage. You can ask any questions freely during this time and at any time during the massage. You can head over to my treatments page to explain which massage types are available

  • You will be expected to remove clothing for your massage – you will be given the time you need to do this in privacy. Please do not remove underwear. Women can remove bra's. You then lay on the couch (in most cases face down first) and use the towels provided to cover yourself.

  • Your therapist will only reveal the part of the body to be massaged then cover it back up again. Never exposing privacy areas.

  • The couch maybe warmed in the cold months, you can request this to be turned off or down. The room is not brightly lit, so you can relax. You are welcomed to communicate if you’re too warm or cold.

  • During your massage your therapist will check in with you at various times to check the pressure and how you are feeling and if you are warm enough. You can talk as much as you want or not want to during the massage, some people like to chat, and some like to close their eyes and have some quiet time. Either way some communication is important to get the best out of your massage. So don’t be afraid to mention anything

  • One the massage has finished you will be given time to take some deep breaths and slowly get back dressed again in privacy.

  • Your massage therapist should give you a professional recommendation at the conclusion of your massage session. These recommendations could include how often you should get a massage, benefits of regular massage as well as a piece of self-care you can take away from the session to increase the cumulative effects of your massage.

  • You will want to come back – the release of the endorphins will leave you feeling relaxed and re charged at the same time, like a natural high. Your mind and body will benefit from regular sessions. This can also be discussed at the end of your massage and should a treatment plan be needed we can put this is place.
